Questionado sobre o último trabalho do rapper, 50 Cent alfinetou: "Nas é frio como gelo. Ele é o iceberg que afundou o Titanic. Nem ouvi seu álbum, não sei do que você está falando", disse em entrevista à revista XXL.
"Realmente não quero falar sobre o Nas. A carreira dele está acabou, para ser honesto", afirmou. "Ele teve alguns momento bons e fez músicas boas no passado, mas não me interessa e nem ao meu público", completou.

Lisa "Left Eye" Lopez terá filme biográfico em breve
Já se passaram sete anos desde que Lisa "Left Eye" Lopez faleceu, mas uma diretora nomeada ao Oscar está tentando manter a memória da artista viva com a estréia de um novo filme biográfico durante a primavera americana.
De acordo com noticiários, a diretora Lauren Lazin estreará seu documentário The Last Days of Left Eye em 19 de abril no Atlanta Film Festival.
Lazin é mais conhecida por ter dirigido o documentário Tupac Ressurrection, que lhe rendeu uma indicação ao Grammy.
Left Eye fez parte de um dos trios femininos mais famosos de todos os tempos - o TLC. Elas surgiram na cena musical em 1992 com o álbum Oooooooh!... On The TLC Tip, que vendeu mais de 6 milhões de cópias ao redor do mundo.
Left Eye faleceu em 2002 em virtude de um acidente de carro.

Alvo constante de ataques de 50 Cent, Kanye West afirmou que era fã do rapper e lamentou as críticas do rival afirmando que se sente "cuspido" com suas declarações.
"Como um ser humano real, não posso dizer que isso não me afeta. Eu era fã do 50. Ele era meu rapper favorito. Foi um dos únicos que eu realmente gostava", disse ao site Bossip.
"Para mim, como fã, me sinto como aquela criança que te encontra no aeroporto e fala 'cara, eu te amo tanto' e de repente você cospe nele", explicou.
No último ataque, 50 Cent questionou a mudança de estilo vocal de Kanye, que abandonou o rap para cantar melodicamente em seu último CD.
"É o retorno do monstro sem coração. Eu deveria fazer um CD de R&B para vocês. 808s e o meu coração está partido. Odeio esses caras com as cores do arco-íris. Indicação ao Hall da Fama é ridícula", diz Darryl McDaniels do Run-DMC
Darryl McDaniels, rapper do Run-DMC, afirmou que a indicação que os integrantes receberam para entrar no Hall da Fama do Rock em 2009 é "ridícula".
"Eu sou um rapper, cara. Somente um MC com um microfone. Estar no Hall da Fama do Rock ao lado de Beatles, Bob Dylan e todos os deuses do rock? É ridículo. Ridículo de uma maneira boa", disse ao site Gigwise.
Formado em 1983, o Run-DMC se tornou referência no rap e mostrou um elo com o rock ao fazer uma parceria com o Aerosmith na música Walk This Way.
Além dos rappers, a banda Metallica e o guitarrista Jeff Beck também foram indicados.

O rapper Rick Ross revelou recentemente que rompeu com sua gravadora de longa data, Slip-N-Slide Records, e que lançará seu próximo álbum pelo seu próprio selo, Maybach Music Group.
O novo álbum de Ross se chamará Deeper Than Rap. O rapper revelou que lançará dois singles do projeto nos próximos dias: Mafia Music e I'm The Magnificent, que conta com participação do cantor de R&B John Legend.
Ross divulgou à MTV que Mafia Music causará alvoroço porque ele atacará algumas pessoas no som.
Mafia Music causará muitos problemas, explicou o ex-agente penitenciário que virou rapper. É um som de levada ininterrupta com duração de quatro minutos e meio. Sou eu falando sobre minha vida, minha chegada e meu triunfo. Naturalmente, eu tive que falar sobre algumas coisas, tive que falar de algumas pessoas. Eu adoro isso. Bizzy Bone é agredido e roubado em Los Angeles
Autoridades de Los Angeles revelaram hoje (12 de janeiro) que o membro do Bone Thugs-N- Harmony, Bizzy Bone, foi agredido e assaltado por alguns homens em um hotel local na semana passada.
De acordo com informações do jornal Los Angeles Times, o crime foi praticado no hotel Universal Hilton, no dia 5 de janeiro, após Bizzy ter voltado de um restaurante.
A polícia revelou também que prendeu Marlo "Bow Wow" Jones, um homem de 30 anos que é suspeito de ter participado da agressão. Ele pertence a organização anti-gangue Unity One.
Jones foi preso na sexta (9 de janeiro) no sul de Los Angeles, e está sob custódia com uma fiança estipulada em U$S 1.1 milhão. A polícia está buscando novos suspeitos.
A Unity One alega ter rompido o contrato de Jones, mas afirmou que planeja contratá-lo novamente caso ele seja absolvido.

Common, nome artístico de Lonnie Rashid Lynn, Jr., (13 de Março de 1972, Chicago, Illinois), é um rapper americano celebre no mundo do rap por suas letras, focadas mais sobre amor e a espiritualidade do que ao dinheiro, a fama e as mulheres. Muita gente pode descreve-lo como um artista de hip hop "verdadeiro", autor de autênticas canções que na verdade enviam mensagens.
Seu álbum de estréia por uma gravadora grande, Like Water for Chocolate foi criticamente aclamado e teve exíto comercial, mesmo que seu último álbum Be, em que Kanye West produziu nove faixas, vendeu 800 mil cópias e foi nomeado a um Grammy como "Melhor Álbum de Rap".
História
Após abandonar o colégio em Chicago e aparecer na coluna Unsigned Hype da revista The Source, Common estreou em 1992 com o single "Take It EZ" do LP Can I Borrow a Dollar? ainda com o nome de Common Sense. Can I Borrow A Dollar? traz-nos mais um liricista, um álbum que não teve tanto sucesso comercial, mas estabeleceu álguns sólidos admiradores do rap underground que o consideraram um rapper socialmente consciente. A canção "I Used to Love H.E.R.", do álbum Resurrection, prococou uma disputa com o rapper da Costa Oeste Ice Cube. A letra criticava o caminho que estava tomando o hip hop, incluindo a popularidade do G-funk da Costa Oeste. Amos os rappers seguiram com as disputas em posteriores canções, até que finalmente se encontraram com Louis Farrakhan e deixaram de lado os problemas. Dado a popularidade deste álbum, um grupo de ska de Los Angeles de mesmo nome que o rapper, reclamou o nome Common Sense e Lonnie Rashied Lynn é então 'obrigado' a reduzir o seu nome de MC para Common".[2]
Com o lançamento de seu álbum Resurrection em 1994, Common alcançou uma grande popularidade, sobre todo entre os nativos de Chicago. O álbum vendeu bem e recebeu uma reação positiva entre os admiradores do rap underground e alternativo. Resurrection foi o último álbum produzido por ele mesmo e por seu companheiro de produção durante muito tempo No I.D.. Após três anos de inatividade, em 1997 Common lançou One Day It'll All Make Sense, que incluía colaborações de artistas como Lauryn Hill, Q-Tip, Canibus e Black Thought. Graças as vendas deste disco, assinaria com a gravadora MCA Records.
Like Water For Chocolate é lançado em 2000 pela MCA, o primeiro álbum de Common editado por uma gravadora de peso, seu quarto trabalho viu produções de ?uestlove e participação significativa de J Dilla, ainda DJ Premier foi encarregado de produzir o single "The Sixth Sense", uma das canções mais populares do álbum. Like Water for Chocolate foi relativamente aos anteriores álbuns de Common, o que teve maior sucesso ao nível de vendas. Embora as vendas tenham crescido Common continuou fiel a tudo o que defendera desde o ínicio, este álbum confirma uma vez mais as inegáveis qualidades de Lonnie Lynn como liricista, ganhando seu primeiro disco de ouro. A canção "The Light" foi nomeada para disputar o Grammy. Neste álbum pontuam ainda nomes como Mos Def, D'Angelo ou Macy Gray.
O álbum mais contestado e pior aceite de Common sai em 2002 e chama-se Electric Circus. Rompe com o que o artista desenvolvera até então, não entrando contudo na via comercial de sucesso fácil, a má aceitação vem de este ser um álbum demasiado experimentalista pois Common em alguns dos temas funde o seu rap com rock, prova disso é a colaboração de P.O.D. num dos temas de Electric Circus. Quem também participa no álbum é Mary J. Blige, juntando a sua voz à de Common no tema "Come Close", sendo esta provavelmente a melhor música do álbum. Common ganhou seu primeiro Grammy (com Erykah Badu) em 2003 por "'Love of My life (An Ode to Hip-Hop)", uma canção que realizou com participação de Badu para a trilha sonora do filme Brown Sugar (irônicamente, sua relação com Badu terminou neste mesmo ano).
Com Be lançado em 2005 pela gravadora G.O.O.D. Music, o artista regressa ao formato que lhe fizera atingir a notoriedade no mundo do rap. Um álbum apenas de onze faixas o que desde logo nos deixa antever a qualidade que vem impressa em todas os temas do álbum. "Ther Corner" foi o primeiro single a ser extraído do álbum e conta com a participação de The Lost Poets, o tema é ainda produzido pelo rapper Kanye West. E se Be saiu mais um êxito intemporal, em muito Common pode agradecer a Kanye que produz nove dos onze temas do álbum. Duas canções foram produzidas por J Dilla, por Kanye aumentou enormemente a popularidade do álbum, calando os críticos que disseram que a carreira de Common estava acabada vendendo 800.000 cópias. As revistas de hip hop declararam Be como um dos melhores álbuns dos últimos tempos, a revista The Source deu a nota de 4.5 (de 5), a revista XXL deu a nota mais alta, e a revista eletrônica Allhiphop.com deu nota 5. O álbum foi nomeado a quatro Grammys, que incluíam:
