Kanye West ironizou os boatos que tomaram os tablóides nesta semana citando uma fonte próxima do rapper dizendo que ele estaria tentando melhorar sua voz através de canções espirituais para ¿espantar fantasmas e espíritos¿.
"Eu pareço com alguém que canta essas coisas? E eu lá tenho tempo para isso?", disse West em seu blog oficial. "Por que estragar minhas férias com essas coisas estúpidas? Deveriam ter esperado mais dois dias", completou.
Em seu novo álbum, 808s and Heartbreak, Kanye West recebeu críticas por ter abandonado o rap e apostado em canções melódicas. O novo CD também possui muitos efeitos que deixam sua voz artificial.

Joe Budden elege o seu Top 5 de rappers
1. Tupac
‘Pac é e será sempre o melhor. É simples. Ele é maior que o Rap. É um ícone. Seus álbuns são melhores que 90% desses álbuns que são lançados hoje em dia. E ele pode descrever uma cena como mais ninguém. Eu não ligo para a treta entre ele e a Bad Boy. Eu só fico alegre por “Hit ‘em Up” ter vindo disso. Eu só acho que é o talento, ‘Pac era um poeta. Então naturalmente ele tem o caminho para as palavras. Não há ninguém melhor em transmitir uma mensagem.
Tipo, certas pessoas rimam já outras realmente transmitem uma mensagem quando escrevem. Ele também era um dos mais engenhosos escritores da sua geração. De longe ele é o líder do meu Top 5 de rappers vivos ou mortos. ‘Pac é melhor que qualquer um desses negros por aí. O resto da minha lista não ta numa ordem específica. Eu não poderia dizer qual o meu álbum preferido do ‘Pac, eu devo começar por “Me Against The World”.
2. Jay-Z
Vamos de Jay-Z. Eu sou tão fã do Hip Hop ao ponto de deixar minhas mágoas de lado e não deixá-las interferirem na minha opinião a respeito da musica. Jay por todas as suas habilidades e façanhas. Qualquer coisa que ele diga é a forma com que o Hip Hop veio por mais ou menos 10 anos.
“Reasonable Doubt” é sobrestimado. Eu acho que as pessoas na frente do palco dizem que “Reasonable Doubt” é o melhor álbum do Jay pq é uma parada legal a se dizer. Tipo, eu me lembro quando o “Reasonable Doubt” foi lançado e eu lembro de cada single; o mundo não estava ficando tão louco por ele. E até esse dia – é certamente um contraste com o “Ready To Die” o qual é um clássico pra mim.
O “Ready To Die” é melhor que o “Reasonable Doubt”. Com o “Ready To Die”, eu ficava esperando por esse álbum desde “Party & Bullshit”.
Eu acho que o “Reasonable Doubt” tem algumas faixas loucas, não me entenda mal, é um grande álbum, mas eu não acho que é o melhor trabalho do Jay. Vamos passar isso a limpo; “Volume 2” é o meu álbum favorito do Jay. Mas se eu tivesse que pegar o seu melhor trabalho, e isso é uma opinião pessoal e eu não me importo com o que as pessoas envolvidas no Hip Hop tem a dizer, ficaria entre “The Blueprint” e “The Black Album”. Eu acho o “The Black Album” quase perfeito e eu sou um dos poucos que pensam isso.
Pra falar a verdade, são poucos álbuns que eu posso dizer que são melhores que o “Reasonable Doubt”. “It Was Written” é um deles. Eu gosto mais do “It Was Written” do que do “Illmatic”. Eu não sei. Eu realmente não vou com o que tudo mundo me diz que é o melhor.
3. Eminem
O Eminem rima melhor que qualquer um nesse planeta; jogos de palavra, flow; tudo. Ele faz parecer ser tudo bem simples. Pode parecer que o publico esqueceu dele agora, mas o cara esteve parado por 4 ou 5 anos. Mas mesmo assim estão querendo ouvir o seu trabalho mais recente como a parada que vazou agora como se ele tivesse escrito pro Dre, eu só sei que parece que as pessoas estão tentando encontrar uma razão pra tirar todos os créditos dele.
Se ele nunca mais escrever outro rap novamente, ele já será maior que qualquer um que rimou a vida toda. Ele rima silabas a cada metade da barra. Ele simplesmente faz coisas que os outros rappers não conseguem. Eu piro com o segundo álbum dele, pra mim o melhor (The Marshall Mathers LP).

Depois desses 3, pra mim é realmente no cara ou coroa. Eu sempre alterno entre Big Daddy Kane, B.I.G., Rakim, Kool G Rap, Nas. É, esses nomes foram os que vieram na minha cabeça.

Sua boca grande lhe proporcionou muitos desintendimentos e realmente, muitas horas de tribunais.
Em 7 de setembro de 1996 foi novamente atingido por tiros, desta vez no peito. No dia 13 de setembro após muitas cirurgias e a retirada de metade de um pulmão, Tupac Amaru Shakur morreu.

50 Cent fala sobre G-Unit, The Game e o estado atual do Hip-Hop
Você e eu conversamos em 2007 quando você e o Timbaland estavam na capa da revista Scratch e você estava falando sobre o Before I Self Destruct, você disse que você tinha uma dúzia de músicas terminadas.
Quando nós fizemos a entrevista com a Scratch antes disso [é quando] eu comecei a trabalhar nesse álbum. Mas quando você diz uma dúzia de sons era tipo, 12 gravações de dois versos.
Então, eram trabalhos em andamento, tipo de uma prévia, assim dizendo?
Certo. Dai o que eu fiz, um monte de material, que eu mudei as produções. Conceitualmente, eu escrevi a mesma música de jeitos diferentes. Era o mesmo conceito de sons, de jeitos diferentes. Eu não conseguiria botar as duas músicas em um album, porque elas passam praticamente a mesma mensagem. Então, eu tive que escolher, qual eu iria mostrar ao público
Mas você não está nos dando material de 2007, certo?
Não é não, mas o a noção do que está sendo veiculada nas músicas real é bem pensada. Quando você compra músicas do Em e do Dre, o tempo que você tem pra ouvir é algo que foi trabalhado por meses; 5-6 meses no mínimo. Eles podem gastar esse tempo todo. Eles não gastam tanto em cada música. Em poderia ter feito material a um ano atrás e botar pra for a agora que iria gerar interesse, pois ele esteve fora por 2 anos. Se você ouvir o Hip-Hop agora, não há muitas coisas de interessante acontecendo. Eu olho para ele [Hip-Hop] e eu nem mesmo vejo – como se ainda pudesse ver com uma perspective de um fã, ou ao menos eu gostaria de pensar que eu ainda posso ver desse jeito, mas não há nenhuma música que me faça sentir tipo “Poxa, eu poderia ter feito essa gravação.” “I Get Money,” é uma gravação que qualquer rapper gostaria de ter feito.
Eu fiz essas gravações porque eu penso que os artistas de Hip-Hop deveriam geralmente desejar ter feito [gravações] ou dito “ Se eu tivesse essa [batida], eu gostaria de me ocupar nela” Na real, pode não ser o que eu estou dizendo, pode ser a produção.
Então não há nenhuma gravação desde Curtis, que você ouviu e gostaria de ter feito?
Não, eu posso passar. Teve música boa que saiu, mas não o suficiente para me fazer tipo “eu gostaria de ter gravado”
Nem mesmo “A Milli”?
Não. Tipo, é uma boa música. Aquele som “A Milli” é uma gravação, mas eu não me identifiquei com ela. Não tinha melodia o suficiente na produção da gravação pra me identificar, porque a gravação era repetitiva “A milli, a milli, a milli.” Não era melodicamente o suficiente para me fazer sentir daquele jeito. Primeiro eu não tinha entendido aquela gravação. Eu não entendi porque as pessoas estavam excitadas com aquilo. Quando um artista tem dinâmica, o público vai dar tudo o que ele represente pra eles, uma tentativa, e o sistema vai apoiar 100%. And if people are conditioned at the moment to feel like what he’s giving is good, they’ll go for it.
Have you ever put any thought into ghost writing hit records for other artists?
Eu não vou liberar mais meu material.
Não é exatamente liberar, tenho certeza que seus serviços não são baratos.
É, mas mesmo se eu tiver um lucro com ele, eu não vou fazer mais. Se não é algo que eu me apaixone e queira estar, eu vou deixar na minha casa. Eu já criei carreiras de pessoas baseadas em eu fazendo isso e eles me deram a bunda para beijar.
Quer dizer The Game?
Isso é coisa do Buck. E o Game não é realmente um problema de verdade, ele não é uma pessoa que eu tenha uma paixão grande, porque eu mau conheço ele. Eu só trabalhei com o Game seis dias, porque eu escrevi tudo que ele usou [no álbum dele] antes de ele chegar lá. Ele estava no estúdio durante 1 ano com o Dre antes de eu chegar lá. Eles tiveram tempo para estabelecer algum tipo de relacionamento.
Tipo você e o Jam Master Jay?
As pessoas perguntam quem foi a pessoa mais influente na minha carreira e digo Jam Master Jay esteve por perto nas minhas fases infantis. Claro que ele tinha o seu ganho pessoal em mente, eu era um artista, eu era um investimento nesse momento. Sem por investimentos em mim, o tempo dele era o maior investimento. Ele esteve perto de mim enquanto I estava aprendendo minhas estruturas de som. Eu poderia rimar.
A lista da G-Unit esteva afundada em um ponto. Agora, parece que você escalou uma volta drástica. Por que?
É como qualquer outra compania que você vê. Você lembra da “No Limit[era uma gravadora]”? Você lembra quantas pessoas faziam parted a “No Limit”? Lembra da Cash Money? Lembra da Death Row? Acontecia antes, não é algo novo. Você tem pessoas que desenvolvem sua própria direção na vida, eles querem ir para espaços diferentes e estar em posições diferentes.
Então, você está pensando em adicionar novos artistas na G-Unit?
Sim, quero dizer, quando você consegue se identificar com o talento de outra pessoa e tenha ganhado credibilidade o bastante por outra compania para conseder-lhe uma posição subsidiária, é claro que eu vou – você sabe, achar a coisa certa.
Nós gostaríamos de pensar assim. É verdade que você está procurando acertar com Cory Gunz?
Bom, você sabe que eu conheço o pai dele há um tempo. Mas eu não pensei em contratá-lo.Yayo decidiu em trabalhar com ele e Ransom na “Shoot A ****** Face Off”, eu acho que ele é um escritor talentoso. Eu não tenho certeza se eles vão comprar a coisa dele se não houver o Yayo ou o Ranso, mas eles pode escrever melhor do que outros artistas. Pense nisso, você tem muitos escritores talentosos por aí. Você tem pessoas que nunca tiveram chances, mas tem. O problema com o Hip-Hop é que eles viram que o ponto é simples, e todos pensam que todos podem fazer, então, quando as pessoas olham para você, eles apenas não aproveitam a elas mesmas. Eminem diz que novo álbum será mais "alto-astral"
Durante uma entrevista para a revista Esquire, o rapper Eminem revelou mais detalhes sobre seu tão aguardado álbum, intitulado Relapse, e sobre seu novo e mais positivo estado de espírito.
Ano passado, eu comecei a aprender a não ser tão revoltado com as coisas, ele disse à Esquire. Fazendo isso, eu me tornei uma pessoa mais alegre.
Tudo indica que a nova atitude fez com que o MC, conhecido por suas letras agressivas, também mudasse o comportamento em suas rimas.
Eu não diria que a música está vindo mais alegre, mas definitivamente está mais alto-astral, revelou o artista, que assegurou aos fãs que a velha agressividade não foi totalmente deixada de lado. Não me interpretem mal, a agressividade ainda estará lá, adicionou.
Relapse, que trará produções de Dr. Dre, está programado para o começo de 2009.

50 Cent revela interesse em renegociar com Interscope
O novo álbum de 50 Cent, intitulado Before I Self Destruct, será lançado em 2009 e será o último de seu contrato com a Interscope Records.
O líder da G-Unit revelou que está renegociando com a Aftermath/Interscope Records. Se as negociações forem bem sucedidas, eu continuarei com o Em e a Aftermath/Interscope, disse 50 à MTV durante uma entrevista.
Se as negociações não derem certo, eu irei pra outro lugar, continuou. Isso não irá mudar o nosso relacionamento, porque o Em é tão rico que isso não importa. É por isso que ele some por dois ou três anos e você não ouve nem vê nada dele e então ele retorna, porque ele pode se dar ao luxo de fazer isso.

T.I. não lançará mais um videoclipe para seu som Swing Ya Rag, que é parte integrante de seu último álbum, intitulado Paper Trail. Segundo o rapper, a Gucci e a Louis Vuitton mencionaram que não ficaram felizes com a letra da música.

Paul Wall trabalhando no terceiro álbum
Paul Wall anunciou que estará retornando ao Hip-Hop ano que vem com Fast Life, que será o terceiro álbum de estúdio do rapper de Houston. O primeiro single do projeto é Bizzy Body, que é produzido por Mouse on da Tracks e conta com participação de Webbie.
O álbum, que ainda não tem data de lançamento definida, deverá contar com participações de Akon (“Girl On Fire”), Yung Joc, Gorilla Zoe, Too $hort, Z-Ro, Lil’ Keke e Expensive Taste.

Atualizado: Agentes do FBI prendem DMX na Flórida
Agentes do FBI prenderam o rapper DMX hoje (9 de dezembro), na Flórida. Como noticiado anteriormente, um juiz do Arizona emitiu um mandado de prisão contra o artista no dia 5. Além disso, o xerife do Condado de Maricopa, Joe Arpaio, ofereceu uma recompensa pela captura do astro.
Após vários problemas profissionais e pessoais, DMX estaria em reabilitação tentando colocar sua carreira nos trilhos novamente.
No momento, o rapper está sob custódia na Cadeia do Condado de Miami-Dade, mas deverá voltar para Phoenix, onde foi estipulada uma fiança de US$ 120.000.

Trilha de 'Notorious' contará com não lançadas de B.I.G.
Os fãs do lendário Christoper "Biggie Smalls" Wallace serão agraciados com material não lançado do rapper na trilha sonora do filme 'Notorious', que será baseado em sua vida.
Segundo o Hollywood Insider, o produtor do filme, Wayne Barrow, revelou que planeja liberar gravações demo de Biggie antes de sua carreira com a Bad Boy Records. Mantivemos tudo como está, na sua forma bruta, disse Barrow. Os fãs dele tem pedido isso há anos.
Embora os detalhes ainda sejam escassos, o diretor do filme, George Tillman Jr., promete uma impressionante coleção: É um material incrível, ele disse.
Liderada pela faixa Brooklyn Go Hard de Jay-Z, a trilha sonora de 'Notorious' contará com uma seleção de hits populares de Biggie, além de uma versão remixada de One More Chance com participação de Christoper "CJ" Wallace, filho do rapper.
